I have no little ones left at home but others would  like to hear all your creative ways of keeping your driver and kids in touch with each other lives while he is gone day after day.

I bought hubby a laptop w/web cam. If he's out weekends or laid over some where, we will boot up the 'puters and cams so that our lil man and I  can "see" him. It helps our son with spelling and typing too.

I send him emails and cards so that when he boots up there's something from home to read.

We talk constantly throughout the day--good family cell plan lol. After work I will call him and he talks me down the interstate until I reach our son's after school care to make sure I get there ok ( I don't have family or really close freinds here to rely on in case of emergency )

Call during dinner and put on speakerphone.

These are some of the things we do to keep him involved in our day to day.

LOL I got a kick out of this when Bill and I first got married Beverly keep track of him with push pins on a big map of the US. WOW time have changed in a few short 25 years. He call everyday but no cell phone then with family plans, no web cams. But sure glad that nowdays its eaiser for the familys to keep involed.
