How do I create an account?
Go to www.mylayover.com and click "Register Now" link in the user login box to register. You'll be asked for some basic information and asked to verify your email address. Once your email has been confirmed, you can customize your profile by adding photos, videos and other information about yourself.

I'm 12 years old...can I join myLayover.com?
myLayover.com requires all users to be 13 years or older to join in accordance with COPPA laws.

How do I verify my email address?
Once yregistered, a message containing a confirmation link will be sent to the email address you listed in your registration. Once you receive this message, click on the link and your email address will be automatically verified and you can begin using myLayover.com.

What if I have an account but can't log into it?
If you already have an account on the layover.com, you automatically have an account on myLayover.com. Just log in using your same username and password.

What if I forgot my password?
If you forgot your password, click "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. Your password will be reset and the new one will be emailed to you.

Perhaps you registered in the past and have simply forgotten. Click "Forgotten Password" to have your password reset and sent to your email. Once the new password arrives, try logging in with your email address/password to view your account.

How do I change my personal information?
To change your personal information, log in to your account and click on the "settings" tab.

How do I delete my account?
Please send a request to have your account deleted by clicking "Contact Us" and a member of our tech support team will contact you to confirm your request and delete your account.

How do I create a profile once I've registered?
You can update your profile information by clicking the 'edit' link in the myLayover menubar at the top of the screen. There you can change your motto, about me, avatar, etc.

Can I make my profile either public or private?
To change your privacy settings, log in to your account and click on the "settings" tab the click on "account settings".

How do I set up my own blog?
Every myLayover profile includes a fully functional blog module that displays on the user's profile page. To add a new blog post, click the "Edit" icon in the top-right corner of the blog module on your profile page. The new page will allow you to write, edit, and post the blog to your profile. Be sure to have the blog module activated so that other user's can read your post!

Can I add widgets from other sites to my myLayover profile?
There is limited HTML functionality permitted on your myLayover profile page, but most third-party widgets will not work on your myLayover profile.

How do I change the avatar image?
You can update your avatar by clicking the "edit" link in the myLayover menubar at the top of the screen. You will be able to add a photo from our collections or upload your own. Photos that are 146x146 pixels work best for avatar images.

How do I feature videos or photos or contacts?
Users do not have the ability to mark content as "featured." This is a function of the administrators.

What if I want to change the style of my profile?
You can update the style on your profile page by clicking the "styles" link in the myLayover menubar at the top of the screen.

How do I view my profile as other people see it?
You can view your public profile by clicking the "view profile" link in the myLayover menubar at the top of the screen. This page displays what your profile page looks like to other members.

How do I find new people on myLayover?
You can search for new users with the search field at the top of every page.

How do I add someone to myNetwork if I am looking at their profile?
In the "About Me" section of a user's profile, under his/her avatar, you will find a link that reads "Add to Friends." Clicking that link will send a contact request notification to the user, at which point it will need to be approved before the user will appear in your network.

How can I tell if someone wants to add me as a contact?
Contact Request notifications appear in your messages inbox. You can access the messages page by clicking the "messages" tab in the myLayover menubar at the top of the screen. You will also receive a notification under the avatar on your profile page when you receive any new contact requests.

Is there a way to invite new people to join myLayover?
Absolutely! In the menubar there is a tab that reads "Invite." Simply fill in your friend's name and email address and an invitation will be sent directly to him/her.

How do I report a user who's being inappropriate?
You can report any user and/or inappropriate content by clicking the "Report this User" link near the bottom of his/her profile page. Clicking this link will send a notification to myLayover administrators who will investigate the user and take appropriate action.

What do I do if I see inappropriate blog entries, comments or photos?
You can report inappropriate blog entries and comments by clicking the "Report this Blog" link on the particular page. Clicking this link will send a notification to myLayover administrators who will investigate the content and take appropriate action.

Is there a way to block users from contacting me?
Go to the users profile page and select the option to "block user" in the contact panel.

Why did my video get rejected?
All video submissions must be approved by myLayover administrators to prevent the uploading of inappropriate content. If your video was rejected, it was determined to have been contrary to the myLayover Terms of Use for user-submitted video content.

Why did a photo that I uploaded get removed?
myLayover administrators review photo submissions for inappropriate content and will remove photos as necessary. It is also possible that your photo had been flagged as inappropriate by other members, which can also lead to its removal.
